The Job Creation Merit Government Awards, implemented since 2009, target individuals and organizations that increase jobs and lead improvements in job quality through exemplary practices such as creating good jobs, promoting youth employment, reducing working hours, converting to regular positions, and balancing work and life.
Kenko's passenger-cargo aircraft modification MRO business has shown significant results starting this year. In particular, the Airbus-related MRO business secured orders worth a total of 400 billion KRW since last year, successfully driving changes in the business portfolio. Additionally, the company continues to explore growth engines such as space development and urban air mobility (UAM).
To this end, despite COVID-19, Kenko has created more than 100 new jobs as of this month and plans to continue hiring in line with business expansion.
Jeong Jaehan, Vice President of Kenko, said, “Despite the aviation industry reducing personnel due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Kenko secured large-scale orders in the MRO business sector, creating employment opportunities. I am pleased that this award recognizes the quality job creation achievements Kenko has made so far.”
