The comprehensive food company Ourhome announced on the 23rd that on the 21st, Vice Chairman Gu Ji-eun and executives in charge of group catering and food safety visited the Korea Coast Guard Education Center in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do.
Ourhome has been entrusted with operating the cafeteria at the Korea Coast Guard Education Center since 2013. On that day, Ourhome executives visited the center to personally serve lunch during lunchtime and listen to customer feedback regarding meal taste, service satisfaction, and suggestions for new menu items. Previously, the Korea Coast Guard Education Center expressed gratitude to Ourhome for the high-quality cafeteria service, and this visit was also a return courtesy.
Afterwards, a meeting was held between the Korea Coast Guard Education Center officials and Ourhome’s on-site nutritionists and cooks to discuss improvements in cafeteria operations and food procurement processes, as well as expectations for Ourhome. Additionally, a survey was conducted to understand the meal menu preferences of the Korea Coast Guard trainees, who are mostly from the MZ generation, and it was agreed to actively reflect the results in future menu planning.
Vice Chairman Gu urged the executives, saying, "It is easier to understand what and how to change by coming out to the field and communicating directly with customers and staff rather than just receiving reports in the office. While taste and service are important, please pay particular attention to hygiene and safety-related tasks meticulously and carefully to earn customers’ trust."
