They explained that the policies of presidential candidates may differ from the current administration, and this is a natural occurrence.
Park Soo-hyun, the Blue House Chief of Public Communication, said in an interview with TBS's "Kim Eo-jun's News Factory" on the 22nd, "During election campaigns, it is common for parties and candidates to take positions ahead of the government," adding, "From the candidate's standpoint of promising the people a government better than the current one, this is inevitable and natural."
Regarding Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, proposing solutions different from the government's real estate policy stance on issues such as the postponement of the heavy capital gains tax, the Blue House conveyed that this is a "natural and expected" matter.
Park said, "There are differences in perspectives, and since these are always adjusted through consultations, there are party-government talks and inter-party negotiations," pointing out, "Viewing this as a conflict or clash between the current and future powers is a media perspective."
Park added, "From the candidate's position of wanting to build a better next government, they must make various promises and present more visions for the future to the people," and said, "I believe this is the duty of all presidential candidates to the people, beyond party lines."
He further stated, "Some presidential candidates may have policies similar to the current government, and some may differ. Isn't that natural? If they were exactly the same as the current government, how could they become a better future government? That is how I understand it."
Regarding discussions on real estate taxation, Park explained, "I understand that Candidate Lee also stated yesterday that if it is difficult under the current government, it can be done under the next government. Representative Song Young-gil and the party are also planning to create a working group to discuss real estate taxation within the Democratic Party, so I think this issue is being coordinated accordingly."
Park also dismissed conflict rumors in an interview with MBC Radio's "Kim Jong-bae's Focus," saying, "Ahead of the presidential election that will form the next government, it is natural for all presidential candidates, regardless of ruling or opposition parties, to present greater visions and policies."
Park said, "However, regarding the easing of the heavy capital gains tax on real estate, there are concerns about fairness, policy credibility decline, and opinions that 'given the recent market situation, extreme caution is necessary.' I understand that Candidate Lee also stated that if it is difficult now, it can be done after our government’s inauguration, and since the party is forming a working group, this issue is being well coordinated and negotiated."
Lee Ho-seung, the Blue House Policy Chief, also appeared on CBS Radio's "Kim Hyun-jung's News Show" that day, emphasizing, "Candidate Lee and the ruling party share the view that the top priority regarding real estate is to achieve market downward stabilization, and there is no difference in thinking with the government."

Regarding Candidate Lee’s statement that "if the Blue House does not act, he will do it after winning the election," Lee explained, "If we wait a little longer, market downward stabilization can become very clear, so the next government can make that choice later," adding, "However, at this moment, it is difficult to make that choice."
