[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Garak-dong Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market in Seoul (hereinafter referred to as 'Garak Market') and others will enter the New Year's holiday closure in 2022.
According to the Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation, among the Garak Market's fresh produce categories, the vegetable section will hold auctions until the evening of December 30 and is scheduled to reopen from the evening of January 2, 2022.
The fruit section closed after the morning auction on December 31 and will resume auctions in the early morning of January 3, 2022.
Among the seafood categories at Garak Market, the fresh fish and shellfish sections closed after the morning auction on December 31 and are scheduled to reopen from the evening auction on January 2, 2022.
The dried seafood section held auctions until the morning of December 31 and will resume from the early morning auction on January 3, 2022.
Additionally, the vegetable section of the Gangseo Agricultural Products Wholesale Market auction system closed after the evening auction on December 30 and is scheduled to reopen from the evening auction on January 2, 2022.
The fruit section closed after the morning auction on December 31 and will resume from the early morning auction on January 3, 2022. In the case of market wholesalers, transactions will be conducted until 6 p.m. on December 31 and will resume from 6 p.m. on January 2, 2022.
The grain wholesale market will conduct transactions until 6 p.m. on December 31 and will resume from 7 a.m. on January 3, 2022.
