On the evening of the 20th, Mayor Yoo informed Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate who visited the fire site, “Support from the district budget alone is insufficient to assist the affected merchants, so we have also requested support from the city. Since traditional markets fall under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, your interest and support would be helpful.” Lee Jae-myung responded to the merchants, “I will do my best to provide assistance. Our party will also check with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to see if there are any possible support measures.”
