Sokcho City Conducts 'Special Quarantine' Inspections in Traditional Markets and Distribution Sectors
Until January 16 Next Year, Targeting 15 Locations Including Traditional Markets and Marts
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Sokcho City, Gangwon Province, will conduct special quarantine inspections targeting traditional markets, shopping districts, and distribution facilities until January 16 next year, as COVID-19 cases rapidly increase due to the nationwide spread and year-end and New Year family and acquaintance gatherings.
According to Sokcho City on the 20th, the quarantine targets include a total of 15 locations: 2 traditional markets, 1 shopping district, 11 stores/marts/department stores (over 300㎡), and 1 youth mall.
The inspection items for traditional markets include whether masks are worn, availability of hand sanitizers in common areas, regular disinfection, presence of banners and promotional materials, designation and status of quarantine managers, etc.
For stores, marts, and department stores (over 300㎡), the focus will be on managing visitor logs, posting and guiding quarantine rules inside the stores, mask-wearing, and prohibiting services such as tasting, sampling, and use of sample products (which require mask removal).
