Supply of 301 Apartment Units in the Station Area of Gwangheungchang Station, Mapo-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] On the 19th, Seoul City announced that at the recent 11th Urban and Architectural Joint Committee Delegated Subcommittee meeting, the designation and planning decision for the district unit plan to build transit-oriented housing around 319 Changjeon-dong, Mapo-gu was amended and approved.
This area is a transit-oriented zone near Gwangheungchang Station on Subway Line 6, where aging and poor-quality buildings are densely concentrated, making residential environment improvement urgently needed.
With this district designation, a total of 301 apartment units will be built on a 5,189㎡ site, ranging from 4 basement floors to 35 floors above ground. Among them, 91 units will be constructed as public housing. To facilitate convenient use of Gwangheungchang Station, an underground connecting passage will be opened and escalators installed, promoting improvements in the pedestrian environment.
