Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Operates '2022 Regular Admission Intensive Counseling'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hyung-joo] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education will operate the '2022 Academic Year Regular Admission Intensive Counseling' for five days from the 20th to the 24th at the counseling room set up in the Gwangju Education Research Information Center.
According to the Office of Education on the 19th, the '2022 Academic Year Regular Admission Intensive Counseling' is a customized counseling for examinees conducted with admission experts. Experienced current admission specialist teachers with many years of admission experience will be appointed as counseling committee members to provide high-quality personalized admission counseling.
Examinees participating in the counseling will receive information related to regular admission applications using the Gwangju college entrance counseling program 'Bitgoeul Olligo,' which has accumulated over 800,000 cases of college admission successes and failures.
The '2022 Academic Year Regular Admission Intensive Counseling' will be operated by accepting prior applications from third-year students, graduates, and out-of-school youth within the district.
Pre-registration is accepted until 8 p.m. on the 24th and is only available online. Applicants can click on 'Regular Admission Intensive Counseling' on the main page of the Gwangju Career and Admission Information Center website, check the designated counseling dates by school, and then select the desired time slot. Recruitment is on a first-come, first-served basis (total 400 people), and counseling will be conducted from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from the 20th to the 24th.
The Office of Education plans to operate while strictly adhering to social distancing measures at each stage, including compliance with personal quarantine rules and thorough environmental hygiene management, to prevent COVID-19 and ensure student safety.
Baek Ki-jang, Director of Secondary Education at the Office of Education, said, "Although it is a difficult situation due to COVID-19, we will strive to ensure that counseling for third-year high school students is conducted in various ways while complying with quarantine rules." He added, "Our Office of Education plans to conduct '2022 Academic Year Regular Admission Personalized Admission Counseling' after thorough preparation, and by appointing local admission specialist teachers, we expect to provide highly satisfactory counseling for regular admissions."
