[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin District, conveyed the strengthened social distancing measures through a video message as the scale of the COVID-19 outbreak expanded.
Due to the recent severe COVID-19 situation, the recovery of daily life will be temporarily paused, and social distancing will be strengthened from December 18 to January 2 of next year.
In the video, Mayor Kim stated, “The number of private gatherings is limited to four people regardless of vaccination status,” and “However, in restaurants and cafes, unvaccinated individuals are only allowed to use the facilities alone,” conveying the strengthened quarantine rules.
He also informed that “the operating hours of multi-use facilities will be restricted.”
Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin District, emphasized, “There are two ways to block the virus,” and urged, “Make sure to get the third vaccination and comply with quarantine rules, that is, always wear a mask to block the virus.”
Finally, he concluded the video with a message of gratitude, saying, “Gwangjin District will definitely overcome this crisis together with the residents.”

Gwangjin District will operate a ‘Special Quarantine Week for Gwangjin District Public Officials’ for one week from December 16 to 22 to raise personal quarantine awareness among employees due to the rapid increase in confirmed cases.
