Seoul City Council Members Kim Jeong-tae, No Sik-rae, Park Sang-gu, and 43 Others Receive the 11th Excellence in Legislative Awards
Chairman Kim In-ho of the Korea Council of Si·Do Council Chairpersons Awards the '11th Excellent Legislative Award' to 46 Seoul City Council Members on the 17th
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim In-ho, Chairman of the Korea Association of Chairpersons of Metropolitan and Provincial Councils (Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council), held the 11th Excellent Legislative Award ceremony at 1:30 PM on the 17th at the Seoul Metropolitan Council, awarding the 'Excellent Legislative Award' to 46 Seoul council members with outstanding legislative activities.
Due to COVID-19, the awards were changed from a nationwide ceremony to awards by city and province.
The Excellent Legislative Award is an award established by the Korea Association of Chairpersons of Metropolitan and Provincial Councils to discover and promote council members who have demonstrated excellent legislative activities such as checking city administration issues, proposing alternatives, and fostering win-win cooperation between regions, with the motto of citizens' happiness, to motivate council members.
The 11th Excellent Legislative Award was given to 154 outstanding council members nationwide who made significant contributions to improving residents' quality of life and regional development. Awardees were selected based on recommendations from the chairpersons of each metropolitan and provincial council.
At the Seoul Metropolitan Council, a total of 46 council members received the honor of the award: Kang Dae-ho, Kyung Man-seon, Kim Kyung-woo, Kim Ki-dae, Kim Sang-jin, Kim Sang-hoon, Kim Soo-gyu, Kim In-je, Kim Jeong-tae, Kim Jong-moo, Kim Chang-won, Kim Chun-rye, Kim Tae-soo, Kim Tae-ho, Kim Ho-jin, Kim Ho-pyung, Kim Hwa-sook, Noh Seung-jae, Noh Sik-rae, Moon Young-min, Moon Jang-gil, Park Ki-jae, Park Sang-gu, Park Soon-gyu, Sung Joong-gi, Song Myung-hwa, Song Ah-ryang, Song Jeong-bin, Yang Min-gyu, Yeo Myung, Oh Hyun-jung, Yoo Yong, Yoo Jeong-hee, Lee Kyung-sun, Lee Kwang-ho, Lee Dong-hyun, Lee Byung-do, Lee Se-yeol, Lee Jeong-in, Lee Tae-sung, Lim Man-gyun, Jang Sang-gi, Jang In-hong, Choi Seon, Choi Woong-sik, and Chu Seung-woo (in alphabetical order).
Considering COVID-19 and the legislative schedule, the Seoul Metropolitan Council held the award ceremony by dispersing the awardees by time slots.
The awarded council members expressed their thoughts, saying, "We will continue to listen to various voices on the ground to become a council that supports Seoul citizens and strive in legislative activities for citizens exhausted by COVID-19."

Chairman Kim In-ho stated, "The 10th term second half of the Seoul Metropolitan Council has been a model nationwide with brilliant policy ideas and active legislative activities amid the COVID-19 crisis," and added, "I extend my deep congratulations and gratitude to the 46 council members who received the 11th Excellent Legislative Award."
