Seoul City Announces 27 Promotions to Grade 4 Manager Level... 5 of 12 Administrative Staff Are Women
Actively Appointing Managers Who Achieved Results in Key Policies and High-Workload Departments
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 17th that it has appointed 27 Grade 5 public officials who have achieved results through continuous efforts in COVID-19 response and major policy projects as Grade 4 section chief promotion candidates.
The Grade 4 promotion candidates include 12 administrative officials and 15 technical officials. Among the 12 administrative officials, 5 are women. Seoul City plans to implement personnel transfers, including these Grade 4 promotion candidates, effective January 1 next year to visualize the achievements of key core projects.
Kim Sang-han, Director of the Administration Bureau, said, "This promotion personnel considered executives who produced results in departments implementing major policies, busy departments, and support departments that have supported city administration based on internal and external communication," adding, "Among the 12 administrative promotion candidates, 5 are women, indicating that capable female managers are gradually increasing in Seoul City."
He continued, "Seoul City will continue to actively select talented individuals who silently work in busy departments and strive to provide better administrative services based on the expertise they have accumulated."
