Reducing Port Truck Waiting Times... BPA Promotes On-site Vehicle Entry and Exit Reservation System

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] BPA Corporation is operating a promotional booth to increase the usage rate of the Vehicle Booking System (VBS) for vehicle entry and exit reservations.
The on-site promotional booth is installed at Gate 3 of the Sinsundae Terminal. The booth supports truck drivers with app installation, membership registration, usage instructions, and explanations of the system's purpose.
Busan Port Authority (BPA) established the VBS in June. The VBS allows trucks carrying containers to reserve the cargo and time for entry and exit in advance before arriving at the terminal.
The system was developed to improve terminal efficiency through reservations and to reduce truck waiting times.
A BPA official said, “The VBS is a project aimed at reducing vehicle waiting times within the port, so we hope many drivers will participate.”

The on-site promotional booth will operate for three weeks from December 13 to 31.
