Taekwondo Instructor Arrested for Forcing Elementary Student to Kick and Compete Against Middle Schoolers
A Taekwondo instructor in his 20s was sent to the police on charges of kicking an elementary school student and forcibly ordering a competition with a middle school student.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Seohyun] A Taekwondo instructor in his 20s was arrested by the police on charges of kicking and assaulting an elementary school student and ordering him to spar with a middle school student.
On the 16th, the Gyeyang Police Station in Incheon announced that Mr. A was booked without detention on charges of child abuse under the Child Welfare Act. Mr. A is accused of assaulting an 11-year-old elementary school student, Mr. B, at a Taekwondo gym in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, on the 12th of last month.
It was investigated that Mr. A kicked Mr. B and forced him to spar with a middle school student for about 10 minutes. He reportedly stated to the police, "I assaulted Mr. B because he did not follow instructions."
Mr. B’s guardian claimed, "He was assaulted under the pretext of sparring by a middle school student who looked over 30 cm taller," and added, "He was indiscriminately hit on the head, chest, and ribs."
Furthermore, "Mr. A ordered another student to bring scissors and then threatened the child with them," and "He created an abusive situation because the child said something bad," the guardian added.
