Listening to the Construction Status and Test Operation Progress of the Sillim Line Light Rail... Riding the Light Rail Test Vehicle, Checking and Inspecting Safety Management at Construction Sites and Stations
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Sillim Line light rail is smoothly conducting vehicle test runs across the entire route and is accelerating efforts for early completion with the goal of opening in May next year.
Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) inspected the construction status of the Sillim Line light rail at the vehicle depot inside Boramae Park at 2 p.m. on the 16th.
The inspection was attended by Park Jun-hee, mayor of Gwanak-gu, related officials, local members of the National Assembly, city councilors, and district councilors, who listened to updates on the construction and test operation progress of the Sillim Line light rail.
Afterwards, they boarded a test operation vehicle at Boramae Hospital Station on the light rail, passed through Sillim Station and Seoul National University Venture Town Station, toured the construction sites and stations, and arrived at Gwanaksan (Seoul National University) Station.
The Sillim Line is a 7.8 km long light rail with 11 stations, connecting Saetgang Station (Line 9) and Gwanaksan (Seoul National University) Station. Once the three lines?Sillim Line, Seobu Line, and Nangok Line?are completed, transportation in Gwanak is expected to be dramatically improved.
