[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Facilities Corporation announced on the 17th that 'Ji:Ha Mall,' which transferred popular products sold at six underground shopping centers including Gangnam, Terminal, Dongdaemun, and Jamsil to an online platform, surpassed 100 million KRW in sales within 100 days of its opening.
'Ji:Ha Mall' is an online shopping mall established to support underground shopping center merchants in entering the online market. After surpassing 100 million KRW in sales on the 8th, as of the 16th, it has sold 3,630 products and recorded sales of 121 million KRW. The average daily sales amount is approximately 1.16 million KRW, and the highest daily sales occurred on the 6th, when the 'Goodbye Discount Event' began, selling 237 products and achieving sales of 7 million KRW. The most popular items were bedding sets, women's shoes, and children's clothing, in that order.
'Ji:Ha Mall' was launched as part of the underground shopping center revitalization project, with participation from merchants of 23 stores across six underground shopping centers. To assist merchants unfamiliar with online shopping malls, the corporation supported the entire process including product selection, photography, detailed page creation, event planning, and promotion.
Since its launch in September, seven online promotional events have been held, including the opening exhibition, autumn-themed exhibition, weekday category discount exhibitions, and winter new clothing exhibitions. In November and December, live commerce events were conducted, offering highly preferred products such as baby goods and fashion apparel at approximately 50% discounted prices, providing opportunities to interact with consumers in real time while selling products.
