Bitnine Holds Business Briefing... "Building New Revenue Models"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Bitnine, a graph database (DB) specialist company, held a business investment briefing (IR) on the 16th to introduce its future business direction and strategy. The event was attended by 24 institutions including investment firms, analysts, and media outlets.
Bitnine revealed three strategies to highlight the value of graph technology in future core industries while maintaining continuous growth based on performance. The company stated it will focus its capabilities on △expanding the global market for graph DB △expanding business into the domestic relational database (RDB) market △entering the graph-based service market.
Bitnine plans to continuously expand overseas markets based on the world’s first RDB+GDB (graph database) model and the global technological prowess of ‘Apache AGE.’ This year, Bitnine’s overseas sales reached 2.6 billion KRW, growing more than 300% compared to last year. The open-source project Apache AGE, incubated by the Apache Foundation in April last year, is expected to be promoted to the highest grade, Top Level, in January next year, accelerating overseas market expansion.
Bitnine is preparing to enter the relational DB market based on recent resistance to Oracle products and the expansion of the domestic open-source DB market. Its core product, ‘Agens Graph,’ already includes relational DB technology, so new product development is expected to proceed quickly. Bitnine plans to launch a new relational DB product in the first half of next year to expand its business area into the domestic relational DB market.
Bitnine plans to create a new revenue structure by making direct strategic equity investments in services based on graph technology. Currently, it is acquiring shares in a large secondhand market trading platform and plans to build a fraud prevention system and personalized product recommendation system for users on the platform based on Bitnine’s graph technology.
Bitnine is also preparing to acquire shares in a domestic PG company. Through this, it plans to design and launch a new service model based on graph technology using payment transaction data.
