Seoul Facilities Corporation Launches Online Issuance Service for 'Hwajang Certificate'
Five Types of Certificates Previously Applied for In-Person at Municipal Funeral Facilities Including Seunghwawon... Available Online from the 16th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Facilities Corporation announced that starting from the 16th, it will offer a service that allows users to easily obtain related certificates online when cremation, enshrinement, burial, exhumation, or natural burial is performed at Seoul municipal funeral facilities.
When using Seoul municipal funeral facilities such as Seoul Municipal Crematorium, Seoul Memorial Park, and Seoul Municipal Cemetery, certificates are required to prove the cremation of the deceased or to transfer burial sites from the municipal cemetery to other facilities. Until now, the procedure required visiting in person to obtain the certificates, causing inconvenience to users. To simplify the process and make it easier to obtain certificates, an online certificate issuance service has been introduced.
To obtain certificates, users can access the funeral facilities section on the corporation’s website or directly visit the Internet Certificate Issuance Center. Five types of certificates?including cremation, enshrinement, burial, exhumation, and natural burial certificates?can be issued immediately after simple authentication and can be printed or sent via KakaoTalk, email, or fax. Certificates can be issued after payment of the applicable fees.
