Gwangju Bank Warms Winter with Love Kimchi Sharing Volunteer Activity
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 15th that about 30 people, including President Song Jong-wook and new employees, participated in kimchi-making volunteer activities at Mudeung Daycare Center in Unnim-dong, Dong-gu.
Kim Eun-young, head of the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, and Jeong Eun-gang, director of Mudeung Daycare Center, joined the volunteer activities, and Gwangju Bank donated 7 million won to Mudeung Daycare Center as a sponsorship fund for kimchi sharing.
The new employees of Gwangju Bank, who were finally selected in the second half of 2021 new employee recruitment and are undergoing training until December 31, directly made kimchi to share with the underprivileged in the region, personally practicing Gwangju Bank’s corporate culture of returning more than 10% of net profit to the local community through various social contribution activities.
President Song of Gwangju Bank said, “I hope the kimchi, made with sincerity by our executives and employees, will become warm nourishment that keeps the bodies and minds of local children healthy during the cold winter,” and added, “We will continue to pursue values beyond profit, such as mutual growth with the region and companionship with local residents, and carry out sincere social contribution activities for the underprivileged neighbors in our community.”
