[Click eStock] "PNH Tech, Sales Increase Next Year Due to Client Expansion"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Korea Investment & Securities forecasted on the 15th that PNH Tech's performance will rapidly improve as it supplies core materials to LG Display.
Junghwan Kim, a researcher at Korea Investment & Securities, explained, "PNH Tech's cumulative sales from Q1 to Q3 this year reached 15.7 billion KRW, surpassing last year's annual sales of 8.5 billion KRW."
He added, "The cumulative operating profit also turned positive at 2.3 billion KRW," attributing this to "the start of supplying high-refractive index CPL (Capping Layer), a functional material, to LG Display's smartphone OLED panels."
He emphasized, "Long-life blue host has begun to be actively applied to OLED TV panels," estimating that "sales increased by around 4 billion KRW this year due to its application in large-area OLED."
Researcher Kim predicted, "The OLED TV panel production lines applying the long-life blue host are currently partial, but if expanded to all lines next year, sales are expected to double compared to this year."
Furthermore, he analyzed, "LG Display has practically entered full operation of smartphone OLED production lines E6-1, E6-2, and OLED TV production lines in the second half of this year," and "considering the operation of the E6-3 line (15K) for increased production and the additional expansion in Guangzhou (30K), next year's sales are theoretically expected to increase by 20 to 50% compared to this year."
