GS Construction Vice Chairman Lim Byung-yong Discusses Economic Cooperation with Vietnamese National Assembly Speaker

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, met with GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C) executives during his visit to Korea to discuss mutual cooperation plans for Vietnamese projects.
On the 14th, GS E&C announced that Vice Chairman Lim Byung-yong, Head of New Business Division Heo Yoon-hong, CFO Kim Tae-jin, and Head of Construction Division Kim Kyu-hwa held a meeting with Chairman Hue at Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul, to discuss economic cooperation measures.
At the meeting, GS E&C requested the Vietnamese central government's interest and support for ongoing and future new projects in Vietnam, and Chairman Hue asked for GS E&C's continued investment in Vietnam. GS E&C is currently engaged in industrial infrastructure projects in Vietnam, including manufacturing facilities for construction materials, roads, railways, bridges, housing, new towns, and environmental water treatment facilities.

Vice Chairman Lim Byung-yong stated, "We expect that active investment in Vietnam will contribute to the development of Vietnamese industries not only by creating jobs but also by transferring advanced technologies," adding, "We ask for the Vietnamese government's active and continuous support and interest to ensure that these new investment projects proceed smoothly."
