KH Philux Selected as an Excellent Institution for Cultural and Arts Sponsorship in 2021
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] KH Philux announced on the 14th that it received the 'Excellent Institution for Cultural and Artistic Sponsorship' certification selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the 10th.
The Excellent Institution for Cultural and Artistic Sponsorship certification has been hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Arts Council since 2015. It is a system that certifies companies and public institutions that empathize with the value of culture and arts and perform sponsorship exemplary.
From 2018 to 2020, the sustainability of cultural and artistic sponsorship, operational systems, establishment, and organizational composition were evaluated over three years to finally select excellent institutions. Certified companies receive various benefits such as the use of certification marks and priority support for cultural and artistic project funds.
KH Philux is a member company of the Korea Mecenat Association and participates annually in the Korea Arts Council Mecenat Matching Fund. It has supported visual arts organizations and performance groups. In 2004, it established the only registered museum in Korea, the Lighting Museum, and by establishing a small theater, it operates various cultural and artistic programs such as exhibitions, performances, experiences, education, and festivals.
KH Philux has held the 'Light Pollution Photo UCC Contest' for healthy light culture for humanity since 2005. Since 2008, it has hosted the 'Philux Light Art Festival,' supporting the creative activities of various artists and promoting the development of the light art field. Also, since 2005, it has held the 'May 5th Shining Children's Festival,' a cultural and artistic festival centered on children and families.
