SK Hynix Holds 'Drawing for Green Future' Exhibition with Young Artists
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] SK Hynix announced on the 13th that it held the exhibition "Drawing for Green Future" in collaboration with young artists.
SK Hynix is conducting the exhibition for its employees at the in-house gallery "Gallery H" from the 7th to the 17th. The theme of the exhibition is "A Future World Overcoming the Climate Change Crisis," featuring ideas from young artists about the climate crisis and ways to overcome it expressed through their works. Previously, from the 22nd of last month to the 5th, the exhibition was held for the general public at Dohwa Art Gallery.
Since September, SK Hynix held a contest to select works for the exhibition, open to young artists aged 39 and under who are actively working in visual arts regardless of genre, including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and media. A total of 10 artists were selected. This exhibition was organized to support young artists who have faced difficulties finding opportunities to showcase their works due to COVID-19. Each of the 10 selected artists received a prize of 3 million KRW.
Kim Dongmi TL (SV Strategy), who was in charge of the contest and exhibition, explained, "When dealing with environmental issues such as climate change, the focus is generally on the seriousness to raise awareness," adding, "The contest and exhibition planned by SK Hynix aimed to convey a positive message to the public by showing a future where climate change has been overcome."

The social enterprise "A Company," which supports young artists who usually have few opportunities to present their works in order to create a sustainable art market, organized the contest and exhibition. The magazine "Big Issue," which supports the independence of vulnerable housing groups, featured the exhibition works in a special edition.
