Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Launching Early Next Year Expected Around 1.4 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Among Samsung Electronics' flagship tablet 'Galaxy Tab S8' series expected to be released early next year, the top-tier 'Ultra' model is anticipated to be priced around 1.4 million KRW.
On the 10th (local time), IT specialized media PhoneArena reported that the price of the Tab S8 Ultra will be set in the low 1.4 million KRW range.
This is cheaper than the previously reported expected prices (Wi-Fi model 1,469,000 KRW, 5G model 1,669,000 KRW). The predecessor, 'Galaxy Tab S7 Plus,' was sold starting at 1,149,000 KRW at launch last year, with the highest-end model priced at 1,359,000 KRW. In the United States, the base model was launched at $849.
The Tab S8 series is expected to be released in three variants: ▲11-inch base model ▲12.4-inch Plus (+) model ▲14.7-inch Ultra model. Unlike the previous 'Galaxy Tab S7' series, which only had the base and Plus models, the addition of the top-tier 'Ultra' model is the biggest feature. If released on schedule, the Tab S8 series will come about a year and a half after the Tab S7 series launched in August last year.
The Tab S8 Ultra is expected to use Qualcomm's latest 'Snapdragon 8 Gen 1' as its application processor (AP). The RAM capacity will be up to 12GB, larger than the base and Plus models (8GB). Storage capacity will be up to 512GB. The battery capacity is 12,000 milliampere-hours (mAh) and is reported to support 45-watt (W) fast charging.

Additionally, according to previously released Tab S8 Ultra rendering images, a 'notch' design is applied at the center top of the display. This appears to be a choice to accommodate the front camera while minimizing the bezel. However, the base and Plus models are expected to adopt a punch-hole design as before. All three models are expected to support a 120 hertz (Hz) refresh rate.
