Foreign Securities Investment Funds Turn to Net Inflow Amid Recovery in Investor Sentiment
Announcement on Trends in the International Financial Foreign Exchange Market Since November 2021
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Last month, foreign investors' domestic securities investment funds turned to net inflow after one month. This was mainly due to net inflows centered on semiconductor-related companies, influenced by expectations of business condition improvements.
According to the "International Financial Foreign Exchange Market Trends since November 2021" announced by the Bank of Korea on the 9th, foreign investors' domestic securities investment funds last month recorded a net inflow of 5.14 billion dollars. This marked a return to net inflow just one month after a net outflow of 450 million dollars in October.
Last month, foreign investors net purchased stocks worth 2.52 billion dollars in the domestic stock market.
Looking at the flow of foreign stock investment funds, after net purchasing 2.42 billion dollars in September, they turned to net selling of 2.65 billion dollars in October.
