Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, Holds Talk Talk Day with New Employees for 'Genuine Communication with MZ Generation'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 8th that President Song Jong-wook held a date event called ‘Tok! A Date with SongPro and the Vibrant MZ Generation’ with new MZ generation employees.
The new employees, who entered the training course on November 15th after the entrance ceremony to develop the qualities of bank employees, actively participated and received high praise by taking charge of the event’s hosting themselves, breaking away from the somewhat standardized and rigid format.
The new employees called President Song ‘SongPro,’ breaking down the barriers between the older generation and the MZ generation and engaging in candid conversations, experiencing firsthand the communication-oriented corporate culture that President Song Jong-wook values.
Through this event, President Song listened to the difficulties new employees face during the training process and shared his sales know-how, experiences adapting to work life, and personal opinions on work-life balance.
Additionally, in the fiercely competitive environment with fintech and big tech companies entering the financial industry, they listened to survival strategies for the financial industry from the MZ generation’s perspective, sharing visions and goals to build consensus.
Departing from the traditional lecture-style training, the new employees responded positively, saying that this unique communication method of conversing closely with the CEO helped them understand each other’s positions between generations and brought them closer together.
President Song of Gwangju Bank said, “As the representative bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam, the positive energy of our employees is most needed to fully commit to ‘coexistence with the region and companionship with local residents,’ and I believe this starts from a happy workplace where it is good to work.”
He added, “Securing competitiveness in the fiercely competitive financial market is of course important, but more than that, I hope to firmly establish Gwangju Bank’s warm corporate culture so that employees working together are happy and can serve as a model for a healthy local community.”
