Gwangyang Jungang Library Opens Media Creation Room Starting This Month

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Jeonnam Gwangyang Central Library announced that it has opened the doors of the media creation room established through the "Smart K-Library Creation Project" supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, welcoming citizens.

The "Smart K-Library Creation Project" is a national government-funded public contest project supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to build media creation activity spaces, aimed at strengthening the capabilities of local residents in cultural content in the era of individual creators.

After securing the contest project in April this year, the Central Library allocated a total project cost of 50 million won, including 25 million won in national funds in the first supplementary budget, and remodeled the existing facilities on the second floor of the library main building to install the media creation room.

The media creation room is equipped with soundproof studios and necessary equipment such as a main video mixer, cameras, lighting, microphones, chroma key backgrounds for filming, editing programs, and editing computers to ensure convenient use.

Going forward, the media creation room is expected to become a playground for children dreaming of becoming creators, a hobby space for general citizens interested in video editing and production, and a popular place for teenagers familiar with the digital environment.

Ko Geun-seong, Director of Library Operations, said, "It is very meaningful that a media creation space equipped with professional equipment has been established in a public facility," and added, "We will provide various services so that citizens can enjoy a better media culture through creative activities and hobbies."
