Dong-Eui University Student Team Wins Awards at the Korean Society of Human Factors and Ergonomics Capstone Design and Paper Competitions
Eunsol Kim and Yuna Kang, third-year students majoring in Human and System Design Engineering, and Seokhyun Kim, a master's student in the Graduate School of Chemical, Environmental, and Industrial Engineering, received the Grand Prize in the Capstone Competition and the Encouragement Award in the Paper Competition at the 2021 Korean Society of Human Factors and Ergonomics Fall Conference.

Third-year students Kim Eun-sol and Kang Yoon-ah from the Human and System Design Engineering major proposed an application for an "AI platform for collecting and utilizing disposable masks generated by Covid-19" in the Capstone Competition and won the Grand Prize.
Graduate student Kim Seok-hyun from the Department of Chemical, Environmental, and Industrial Engineering received the Excellent Paper Award for his thesis titled "Center Fascia Design Affecting Driver Emotions: A Method Considering a Sense of Luxury."
In his paper, Kim proposed a methodology to actively reflect user emotions when designing the center fascia, one of the interior components of automobiles.
The Korean Society of Human Factors and Ergonomics was founded in 1982. Currently, about 2,000 members and 500 regular members are active.

The society publishes six issues of journals registered with the Korea Research Foundation and holds two academic conferences, awarding the Capstone Competition, Human Factors Design Award, and Human Factors Academic Award.
