[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that the "shared infrastructure" to help strengthen the technological competitiveness of small manufacturers in the Anyang Small Manufacturing Cluster has opened within the Anyang Industrial Promotion Agency and has begun full-scale operation.
The shared infrastructure consists of common equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers and generators, network analyzers, as well as an assembly line, a video conference room, and a multipurpose room for small manufacturers.
The area around Gwanyang-dong, Anyang City, where the shared infrastructure is located, is a region densely populated with 877 small manufacturers in related industries such as electronic components, machinery equipment, and software (SW).
Previously, in September 2019, it was selected by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups as an "Electronic Components, Computers, Broadcasting and Telecommunications Equipment Small Manufacturing Cluster," and with a total support of 1.8 billion KRW including 1.2 billion KRW from the national government, 200 million KRW from the provincial government, and 400 million KRW from the city government, the shared infrastructure was established.
