Expansion of Public Healthcare Infrastructure... Ulsan City Signs MOU with Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service and LH Corporation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Ulsan City, Ulju County, the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) signed a "Business Agreement for the Timely Construction of a Specialized Industrial Accident Public Hospital" on the 8th.
The agreement was prepared to promote smooth construction through mutual cooperation among related organizations.
Officials from Ulsan City, Ulju County, the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation attended the signing ceremony.
The agreement includes ▲ Ulsan City and Ulju County's fulfillment of land purchase payments and free land leasing, ▲ Korea Land and Housing Corporation's priority development of medical facility sites and cooperation in land use, and ▲ the Service's cooperation in expanding the hospital scale.
An official from Ulsan City stated, "We will join forces among related organizations to quickly advance the project and accelerate the improvement of citizens' health rights."
Last October, Ulsan City, Ulju County, and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation signed a sales contract for the "Taehwagang Riverside Public Housing District," the site for the specialized industrial accident public hospital.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor invested 205.9 billion KRW in the "Ulsan Specialized Industrial Accident Public Hospital Construction Project."

The hospital is being developed on a 33,000㎡ site in the "Taehwagang Riverside Public Housing District," with 300 beds, 18 medical departments, and a research institute, aiming for completion in 2025.
