Korea Copyright Commission to Hold Online Seminar on the 9th
The Korea Copyright Commission and the Korea Intellectual Property Journalists Association will hold an online seminar at 2 p.m. on the 9th to explore copyright policy directions in the next-generation digital environment. Twelve experts in law and information technology (IT) will present the results of the 'New Technology Environment Intellectual Property Council' and conduct presentations and discussions on two topics: 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data' and 'Metaverse and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT).' The former will be discussed by Professor Cha Mi-young of KAIST, Professor Cha Sang-yuk of Kyungpook National University, and lawyer Jeon Eung-jun of Logos Law Firm, among others. The latter will be covered by Professor Yoon Seok-bin of Sogang University, lawyer Lim Hyung-joo of Yulchon Law Firm, and Professor Kim Won-oh of Inha University, among others. Choi Byung-gu, Chairman of the Copyright Commission, stated, "We will use the seminar content as a reference to improve copyright laws and systems related to AI, Metaverse, and NFT, and to prepare support measures for the industry."
