'Driver in their 20s with "license cancellation level" intoxication crashes into Namsan 3rd Tunnel tollgate'
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] A man in his 20s who drove under the influence and crashed into a concrete structure in front of the Namsan 3rd Tunnel tollgate was apprehended by the police.
The Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced on the 5th that they have booked a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of driving in a heavily intoxicated state around 4 a.m. that day and crashing into a concrete structure in front of the Namsan 3rd Tunnel tollgate in Jung-gu.
Mr. A was caught by police officers patrolling the area at night.
The vehicle driven by Mr. A was completely destroyed in the accident, but it was reported that he was not seriously injured.
Mr. A’s blood alcohol concentration measured at the scene was reported to be at a level warranting license cancellation.
