[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] On the 2nd, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do signed a business agreement with LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) for the construction of LH Happy Housing for urban regeneration in Seongnam-ri, Muan-eup.

According to the county on the 2nd, the Muan Seongnam Happy Housing construction project is a project to build 100 units of Happy Housing by investing 14 billion KRW in a site of about 2,200㎡ in Seongnam-ri, Muan-eup, Muan-gun. After completing administrative procedures such as housing construction project plan approval in the second half of next year, construction is scheduled to start in December next year with the goal of supply in August 2024.

According to the agreement, Muan-gun will perform tasks such as administrative support for permits, free provision of the project site, and cooperation in tenant selection support, while LH will oversee construction-related tasks such as design, project approval, and construction, and will be responsible for the operation and management of Happy Housing during the operation period.

County Governor Kim San said, “We expect the Muan Seongnam Happy Housing project and the Urban Regeneration New Deal project to create a synergy effect and revitalize the Seongnam-ri area,” adding, “We will work with LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) to ensure that this project is completed quickly.”

Meanwhile, Muan-gun plans to improve residential conditions and secure urban competitiveness by building the 365 Happy Health Center and Muan-eup Complex Cultural Center on adjacent sites to Happy Housing to promote residents' health and expand cultural infrastructure, along with various convenience facilities.
