Wando-gun Signs Business Agreement with Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation
Expansion of Specialty Product Market Channels and Cooperation for Carbon Neutral Lifestyle Practices

View original image[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyungpil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, signed a business agreement on the 1st with the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) to revitalize the local economy through expanding sales channels for specialty products and to participate in the ‘Korea Green Food Day’ campaign.
According to the county on the 2nd, the agreement was held at the aT headquarters in Naju, attended by about 10 people including Shin Woo-cheol, the governor of Wando-gun, and Kim Chun-jin, the president of aT.
Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate on measures to revitalize the local economy by pioneering online and offline sales channels for local specialty products, spreading the low-carbon dietary campaign ‘Korea Green Food Day,’ and promoting awareness of the climate crisis and the practice of carbon-neutral lifestyles.
‘Korea Green Food Day’ is a campaign to practice low-carbon diets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the entire process of food production, distribution, and consumption.
President Kim Chun-jin said, “The corporation and Wando-gun will utilize their respective resources and expertise to carry out various collaborations for carbon neutrality and the revitalization of agro-fisheries food distribution.”
Governor Shin Woo-cheol stated, “Through this agreement, I hope that our county’s marine products can expand their sales channels not only domestically but also overseas through the corporation’s online and offline marketing distribution channels and genuine overseas buyers. We will work together to contribute to the local economy by spreading a low-carbon culture and establishing a virtuous cycle system for local food.”
