New York Consulate Temporarily Suspends Issuance of Self-Quarantine Exemption Certificates for Overseas Arrivals
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] The Consulate General in New York announced on the 1st (local time) that it will temporarily suspend the issuance of quarantine exemption certificates for overseas vaccination completers.
The Consulate General stated that the Central Disease Control Headquarters decided to impose a 10-day quarantine on all foreigners and Koreans entering from all countries regardless of vaccination status from 00:00 on December 3 to 24:00 on December 16, Korea time, to prevent the spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant.
The Consulate General warned that even those who have already received quarantine exemption certificates for overseas vaccination completers for visiting immediate family members, important business purposes, or academic and public interest purposes are subject to quarantine.
