Subway Conductor Suspended for Months of Illegal Filming Following Female Passenger's Movements via CCTV
Women Wearing Skirts and Tight Clothes Targeted for Filming and Posted on SNS
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] It has been revealed that a Seoul Metro employee illegally filmed female passengers for several months through closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) installed inside trains and on platforms.
According to Seoul Metro on the 1st, Mr. A (54), belonging to Sinjeong Train Operation Office, illegally filmed female passengers on the CCTV installed on Line 2 trains and platforms with his mobile phone and posted the videos on social networking services (SNS).
Mr. A especially changed the CCTV screens to follow the movements of female passengers wearing skirts or tight-fitting clothes while filming.
It is known that Mr. A posted over 70 videos on his SNS between October and November. His SNS account has since been deleted.
Upon discovering this, Seoul Metro immediately suspended Mr. A from his position and excluded him from work.

Seoul Metro also stated that they will request a police investigation and an internal audit to decide on disciplinary actions.
