SK Materials appoints Lee Kyuwon as CEO of newly established subsidiary
2022 Executive Personnel Changes and Organizational Restructuring Implemented
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Materials Co., Ltd. has appointed President Lee Gyu-won as the CEO of the newly established SK Materials.
On the 1st, it announced the 2022 executive appointments and organizational restructuring for SK Materials CIC and its subsidiaries. The executive appointments and restructuring were carried out following the completion of the merger between SK Materials Holding Division and SK Co., Ltd., as well as the establishment of the new company through the physical division of the existing SK Materials specialty gases business division.
President Lee Gyu-won was promoted and appointed as the CEO of the new specialty gases company, SK Materials, and a total of six new executives were appointed through this executive reshuffle.
SK Materials stated, "Through this executive appointment and organizational restructuring, we have laid the foundation to accelerate Financial execution and leap forward as the ‘world’s leading advanced materials company.’"

Meanwhile, SK Materials, operated as a CIC (Company in Company) organization within SK Co., Ltd., is composed of the Business Development Center (Director Park Ki-seon), BM Innovation Center (Director Kim Wan-sung), and Global Tech Center (Director Ha Jung-hwan). Through this, it plans to maximize merger synergies by value-up of eight subsidiaries in semiconductor, display, and battery materials and optimization of integrated portfolio management, as well as expand its new materials portfolio.
