Kia AutoLand Gwangju Donates Funds for Hope Sharing Campaign
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Kia AutoLand Gwangju (Factory Manager: Park Rae-seok) announced on the 1st that it participated in the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign Donation Ceremony and the Love Temperature Tower Unveiling Ceremony held in front of the Asia Culture Center square.
Kia AutoLand Gwangju joined as the first donating company for the Love Temperature Tower to set an example for the local community as a key regional business site amid the economic downturn caused by the spread of the COVID-19 virus, which has led to a contraction in corporate fundraising. Shin Gil-nam, the manager of Kia AutoLand Gwangju Plant 2, represented the company and delivered a donation of 148 million KRW.
This year, the fundraising target for the Love Temperature Tower in Gwangju Metropolitan City is 4.21 billion KRW, and with Kia’s donation on this day, the Love Temperature Tower in Gwangju rose by about 3.5 degrees.
The donation will be used through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea to help neighbors in need in the local community have a warm winter. Kia AutoLand Gwangju expects that starting with this donation, more donors will come forward, raising the temperature of sharing in the Gwangju area significantly.
A Kia official stated, “We are truly pleased to be able to support neighbors in need in the local community by participating in the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign.” He added, “Kia will continue to strive to deliver hope to those in difficulty and to create a warmer local community.”
