Daesang Cheongjeongwon Launches 'Daegae Oyster Sauce'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Daesang Cheongjeongwon announced on the 30th that it has launched 'Daegae Oyster Sauce'.
The domestic oyster sauce market is steadily growing as consumer understanding and interest increase. According to market research firm Kantar, the domestic oyster sauce market is estimated to have grown by 16.2% compared to the same period last year, reaching a scale of 38.8 billion KRW as of July this year. Cheongjeongwon holds about 40% of the market share.
As a leading company in the oyster sauce market, Cheongjeongwon introduced a new product using the premium ingredient Daegae to expand consumer choices. Daegae is not only rich in soft and sweet umami flavor but is also highly preferred as a main ingredient in fried rice, where oyster sauce is mainly used.

The new product Cheongjeongwon 'Daegae Oyster Sauce' uses only oysters from Tongyeong, Gyeongnam, and Daegae from Uljin, Gyeongbuk. The product is available in 155g, 250g, and 480g sizes.
