From the afternoon, in the metropolitan area, the mountainous and inland areas of Gangwon, and the inland areas of Chungcheong, rain will change to snow, and after the rain and snow stop, temperatures will drop sharply, leading to cold weather.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, due to the influence of a low-pressure system moving northeast over the central West Sea, strong rain of 10-20mm accompanied by gusts and thunder and lightning will fall in the western regions including the metropolitan area until the morning, and nationwide during the day. The rain is forecast to mostly stop at night.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said, "After rain or snow falls, temperatures will drop from the afternoon, causing snow accumulation in some areas, and freezing of rain or snow may cause icy roads, so caution is needed for traffic accidents and pedestrian safety accidents due to ice."
As cold air moves southward from the northwest, morning temperatures on the 1st will drop by more than 10 degrees. Strong winds will make the perceived temperature even lower. The lowest morning temperature on the 1st is expected to be between -6 and 4 degrees Celsius, and the highest daytime temperature between 1 and 9 degrees Celsius.
