Cultural Convergence Association Presents Vision of 'Humanities Creative City Viewed Through the Metaverse'
2021 Second Half Academic Conference Held
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Korea Culture Convergence Society (President Lee Seung-kwon) announced on the 28th that it held the 2021 second half academic conference under the theme "Vision of a Humanities Creative City Viewed through the Metaverse."
The academic conference, held the previous day at the Dongmyeong-dong Pureun Village Community, was graced by the presence of former Chosun University President Kang Dong-wan, graduate students and alumni of the Department of Culture, Yoo Dong-gi, Chairman of ASA Co., Ltd., Seo Dong-gyun, Chairman of the Korea Lifelong Education Federation, Park Nam-joo, Director of the Character Education Promotion Institute, Kim Do-hyung, CEO of EduA Company, and Oh Mi-rok, CEO of TM Planning.
Kim Sung-ho, CEO of Aegis Co., Ltd., a metaverse specialized company, also gave a special lecture titled "Metaverse Converging with Digital Twin," analyzing the technological changes of the 4th Industrial Revolution from the perspective of cultural convergence.
In the academic discussion, researcher Yoo Kyung-min, who is enrolled in the doctoral program of the Department of Culture, presented "Analysis of the Metaverse in Media," receiving enthusiastic responses. Following this, master's course completers Song Hyun-min, Jeong Yong-gwan, Kim Han-kyung, and Oh Nu-ri presented projects under the theme "Analysis of Major Local Cultural Spaces."
Before the research presentations, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Yoo Dong-gi, Chairman of the ASA Group, who has actively led the local Mecenat movement, in recognition of his contributions to the development and dissemination of local culture.
Lee Seung-kwon, President of the Korea Culture Convergence Society, stated, "The Culture Convergence Society, dreaming of a new future for cultural convergence, will strive to develop cultural convergence content and revitalize local culture from a humanities perspective."
