According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the police on the 28th, the city reported the organizers and participants of the KCTU rally to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
Despite the city's and police's prohibition notice on the rally, the KCTU Public Transport Workers' Union held a rally with over 10,000 people gathered around Yeouido Station the previous afternoon, demanding the abolition of irregular employment, provision of good jobs, and full expansion of the cargo safety freight system.
In this regard, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Illegal Demonstration Investigation Headquarters stated yesterday, "We have launched an investigation into the organizers and key participants on charges of violating the Assembly and Demonstration Act and the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act," adding, "We will immediately request the attendance of organizers and key participants responsible for illegal acts, and conduct a swift and strict investigation through analysis of collected evidence."
