Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation Launches 'My Own Book Dream Space Support Project'
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] The Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation announced on the 25th that it has conducted the 'My Own Book Dream Space Support Project' for children using child welfare institutions.
This project was carried out with the purpose of supporting children to experience the joy and benefits of reading by creating their own reading spaces, as children have been spending more time at home and increasing their dependence on media due to the prolonged impact of COVID-19.
Children selected for this project receive a total of 12 books, including a bookshelf, a mini signboard engraved with their name, recommended books considering their age and future aspirations, and books of their choice to create their own library. Additionally, snacks and book play kits related to the book themes are provided to allow children to experience what they learn and imagine through their five senses.
Through this project, a total of about 10,800 books were provided to approximately 900 children across 60 institutions, and the post-reading activity kits, designed according to grade levels, were structured so that not only children but also their families could participate together.
