1318 Confirmed Cases by 6 PM... 566 Fewer Than Yesterday
According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments on the 20th, a total of 1,318 new COVID-19 cases were reported nationwide from 0:00 to 6:00 PM on that day. This figure represents the total number of confirmed cases in 16 out of 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, excluding Busan.
At the same time the previous day, 1,884 cases were confirmed in the 16 metropolitan cities and provinces, which is 566 more than the current figure. The decrease in the number of tests due to the weekend appears to have led to a reduction in confirmed cases.
The cases reported on this day were 901 in the metropolitan area and 417 in non-metropolitan areas. By each of the 16 metropolitan cities and provinces, the numbers are as follows: Seoul 530, Gyeonggi 203, Incheon 168, Gwangju and Gyeongnam 70 each, Gangwon 60, Daegu and Chungnam 39 each, Jeonnam 34, Jeonbuk 27, Gyeongbuk 26, Daejeon 18, Jeju 15, Chungbuk 13, and Ulsan 6.
