Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Conducts Electrical Facility Safety Inspection for Vulnerable Groups
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Seobu Fire Station (Chief Yang Young-gyu) conducted a volunteer activity on the morning of the 17th in Geumho-dong to inspect fire and electrical facilities for vulnerable groups.
On this day, the volunteer activity involved 10 participants, including Kim Mi-jung, the female volunteer fire chief, targeting two vulnerable households including Mr. Lee (84). The activities included replacing old lighting fixtures in the kitchen and living room with LED lights, safety inspections of electrical facilities, and safety checks of residential fire facilities.
Jo Ho-ik, Director of the 119 Disaster Response Department, stated, “We will not stop at the current activities but will continue to strive through various methods to ensure that vulnerable groups are not excluded from safety.”
Meanwhile, the Seobu Fire Station Volunteer Fire Brigade is engaged in many activities for citizen safety, such as cleaning Gwangjucheon Stream, providing care services for elderly living alone, and disinfecting multi-use facilities.
