Gwangju Police Provide Transportation Assistance to Student Injured in Traffic Accident
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the morning of the 18th, the day of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), around 7:25 AM in Seo-gu, Gwangju, a test-taker was involved in a traffic accident but safely arrived at the exam site with the help of the police.
According to the Gwangju Western Police Station on that day, a city bus collided with the passenger side of a car carrying the test-taker at an intersection in front of an apartment in Pungam-dong.
As a result of the accident, two parents in the car sustained minor injuries.
The test-taker seated in the back said, "I am not seriously injured," and "I will go to the exam site and take the CSAT."
At the time, it was reported that there were 1 to 2 passengers on the bus.
While the head of the traffic division at the Western Police Station was inspecting the scene, he happened to witness the accident and took initial action, escorting the test-taker to the exam site in a patrol car.
The police are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
