On the 17th, according to the legal community, the Daejeon District Court Criminal Division 4 (Presiding Judge Kim Seongjun) sentenced woman A, who was indicted for forcible molestation, to a fine of 1 million won and ordered her to complete 40 hours of a sexual violence treatment program.
At the end of May, woman A attempted to purchase items at a convenience store in Jung-gu, Daejeon, but was unable to pay due to mobile banking operating hours. She asked a man in his 20s standing behind her to pay on her behalf, but after being refused, she suddenly put her hand inside the man's upper garment and touched his chest, according to the investigation.
It was confirmed that woman A and the male victim did not know each other at all.

Presiding Judge Kim stated, "The degree of molestation is not light," and added, "I considered the fact that she confessed to the crime, showed remorse, and reached a settlement with the victim in sentencing." However, after comprehensively considering the risk of reoffending, the court did not impose restrictions on employment at institutions related to children and adolescents.
