Haenam-gun to Host Lifelong Learning Gogo Festa on the 20th
[Haenam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jeonnam Haenam-gun will hold the 6th Haenam-gun Lifelong Learning gogo Festa on the 20th.
According to the county on the 17th, the festival will start with a literacy education graduation ceremony and continue until 3 p.m. at Haenam County Square and the Culture and Arts Center.
The county has been providing literacy education to those who are illiterate or have lived with a lifelong regret of not learning, with the purpose of lifelong learning, and this graduation ceremony will bear fruit. About 50 people will attend the graduation ceremony, where literacy works can also be appreciated.
In addition, Haenam County Square and the Culture and Arts Center will host an event showcasing the results of participants in Haenam-gun lifelong learning over the past year.
Under the theme "Lifelong Learning Flowers Have Bloomed," this festival features an exhibition space where 10 teams of learners present works they created themselves, including ink paintings, and donate the proceeds from sales; a learning space where 14 teams participate to offer various lifelong learning experiences such as calligraphy; and a performance space where 9 teams of learners showcase what they have learned through lifelong learning, including gogo janggu performances.
A county official said, "We organized this event to somewhat heal the hearts tired from the long-lasting COVID-19 pandemic through the festival," adding, "We hope it becomes a place of communication and harmony where the value and achievements of lifelong learning are shared and the residents come together."
