Gwangyang Economic Free Zone Authority Listens to Difficulties of Companies in Yulchon Industrial Complex
Director Song Sang-rak Visits Suntech to Inspect Production Site
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Director Song Sang-rak, hereinafter referred to as Gwangyang Economic Authority) announced that on November 16, it visited Suntech Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Seon-hyu), located in Yulchon 1st Industrial Complex, to listen to the company's management status and difficulties and toured the production site.
Suntech Co., Ltd. moved into the Yulchon General Industrial Complex in December 2011 and, based on its accumulated excellent technology, manufactures and supplies various generators such as permanent magnet generators and bonnet-type generators to domestic institutions including LH Corporation, Korea Water Resources Corporation, Korea Expressway Corporation, and major companies such as Hanwha Construction and POSCO Construction.
In 2021, leveraging NEP certification, excellent procurement product certification, and cooperation with large domestic construction companies, it secured order volumes for 2022 and additional registrations as a partner company with construction firms, which is expected to further activate entry into various public and private markets.
In particular, due to strengthened environmental standards, the company has entered the high value-added field of diesel particulate reduction devices, and furthermore, after the end of COVID-19, it is expected to secure specific and stable order volumes by gaining opportunities to expand overseas based on its technology and domestic achievements.
CEO Lee Seon-hyu of Suntech Co., Ltd. said, “We will become a company that works together with customers by continuously researching and developing products that reflect the latest technology and trends in the rapidly changing power market, solving customers' technical difficulties and compatibility with other processes.”
Song Sang-rak, Director of Gwangyang Economic Authority, said, “Despite the economic downturn, we appreciate your efforts to revitalize the Yulchon Industrial Complex through passion and challenge, including job creation,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that companies do not face inconveniences in management at the frontline.”
