At the signing ceremony, attended by Park Woo-ryang, Governor of Sinan County, Park Se-bok, Governor of Yeongdong County, and members of both county councils, they promised a beautiful journey together by building a mutually developmental relationship and promoting friendship through excellent policies and private exchanges in fields such as administration, tourism, and culture and arts.
Through this sisterhood agreement, both counties will promote direct sales of local agricultural and marine specialty products to link with residents' income, and actively promote exchanges such as developing mutual tourism programs and local festivals to revitalize the tourism and cultural sectors.
Governor Park Woo-ryang said in his greeting, “The meeting of Sinan County, which has 1004 islands, and Yeongdong County, the hometown of Gugak (traditional Korean music) and fruit, is like the meeting of mountains and the sea. Let us utilize and complement each other's regional characteristics to promote the development of both counties.”
