Guchungon Hwasun County Governor: "The Role of Women Committee is Crucial for the Path to Peaceful Unification"

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Gu Chung-gon, Governor of Hwasun County, Jeonnam, attended the Jeonnam Women’s Committee Workshop of the National Unification Advisory Council and stated, “The role of the women members of the National Unification Advisory Council is urgently needed on the journey toward peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula,” urging them to “gather your capabilities and wisdom.”

Governor Gu Chung-gon made this request on the 8th at the 2nd-floor conference room of the Hwasun Livestock Cooperative during the 2021 Jeonnam Women’s Committee Workshop hosted by the Jeonnam Regional Council of the National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC).

The workshop, organized by the Hwasun County Council of the National Unification Advisory Council (Chairman Kim Sang-gyu), was attended by about 90 female advisory members from 22 city and county councils in Jeonnam who had completed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Governor Gu said, “I hope this workshop will be an opportunity to share alternatives and practical activities for peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and to invigorate the activities of the women members,” adding, “The county will also actively support the activities of the National Unification Advisory Council as we join the journey toward peaceful reunification.”
